We watched home video's from 2005 last night. Wow.. We don't have any babies anymore. Just Big Kids. We are mourning the end of the BABY YEARS over here so this may be a little long. We learned few things by watching those movies: At 2 years old Emily spoke what appears to be Chinese. Did you know that? She kisses Aiden on the top of his head only , (doesn't want any drool). She used sign language all the time. She imitates every movement Nicole makes. Even singing. Ahem.. Aiden was a daredevil at age 8 months, getting himself stuck under the kitchen chairs. Also it appears that from 5 months to the present he has either a bruise or cut on his face. Nicole @ age 10 had unbelievable patience trying to teach 2 year old Emily a dance routine. So sad, it's like the end of an era.. ANYWAY.. back to the present.. Aiden is crazy. He rode his bike down the stairs on purpose. Scared Dan to DEATH. He started to jump out of his crib, so Dan converted it to the toddler bed. Emily "teached him" how to jump out. Wasn't that nice of her. Freaks me out with his athletic ability. He can manage a soccer ball, shoot a basket, balance on a skateboard and hit a ball with a bat. Kinda fun/scary to watch him. FUN: because he's so proud of himself tells himself "good job" or "good try", SCARY: because there is an 80% chance that you as an observer will get hit with either the ball or the bat. Aiden TALKS ALL THE TIME. Honestly, it's enough to make your ears bleed.. But an informal speech test showed him in the 41% for his age group. At this age Emily scored is the 7% for her age group. I was understandably "off the freaking wall happy" with his score. So talk away baby boy, I don't even care if my ears bleed. Emily likes her new pre-school, so much, that when I picked her up she growled " I told you not to come back". I'll try and not take that stab through the heart personal. Emily is all about the drama lately, "her legs are very fast", "her brain is thinking something". She loves to blame her body parts for everything. She can't go to sleep because " her eyes won't listen and keep opening." She needs a snack because "her belly is yelling at her brain "im hungry".. " Today is the last game for Soccer. She will miss her friends but not the game so much. It interrupts playtime with her teammates. Cole loves her new school, very social. Did I mention social? Oct. 2007 will forever go down as the month of THE $89.00 WORTH OF TEXT MESSAGES NOT COVERED BY MY PLAN. Nicole has since been signed up for UNLIMITED texting as well as UNLIMITED yard work. Her and Christopher are happy to be in the same school, they look at it as they now have 2 sets of parents to get rides from. BIG NEWS: Kurtis got 100 on his driving test and got his license. He's trying to find a vehicle in his price range, maybe we will see him on PIMP MY RIDE. Hope everyone is doing well.. Now that I'm back to being at home all the time maybe I'll update more.. It could happen!
