Best Daddy in the the world

Happy Daddy’s Day to the best Daddy in the world.

We took you to Toy Story 3, gave you all the leftover popcorn and then got sad when you got called into work. The babies are snuggled in your spot on the bed. Your bag of homemade MASTERPIECES are on the table and we will have dinner ready for you when you get home tomorrow.

Attached to this post are 5 extra hours of Fathers Day for you to cash in when you need them. And you WILL need them. The phrase “I am right, because it’s FATHERS DAY” may have escaped your lips a few times today. I figure since I’m right all other 364 days of the year, I should at least give you your full day.

Tomorrow @ O:Dark30 the whole family:( minus Danielle, Me and the little kids)  are headed for not a 3 hour tour, but a 10 hour ride to the middle of the ocean to catch some fish.

Christopher has been counting down the seconds for this trip. He so loves to fish. This year they rented a big boat for the day. It’s a tradition Granny and Papa started 3ish? years ago because everyone in loves fishing so much. Christopher has obsessed over every hook and reel. Him and my Dan get a LITTLE competitive regarding weight of each catch. I hope they remember to take a camera, as everyone knows, it doesn't count unless you get a picture.

Good Luck and If the weather starts to get rough and the tiny ship tossed, I hope that the fearless crew will keep the SS Minnow from getting lost.

K. Did 2.5 miles this morning with a sprint/walk pace.  I’m trying to count points. WW and I go way back. I haven’t joined to weigh in or anything, but I know the system and I’m keeping in my points range.

License to grow up.

My adorable baby. 15 and A FREAKING HALF.

Tomorrow is her last final and she will be an official Sophomore. This year went by really fast. I feel like yesterday she was in the 8th Grade. Now comes the dreaded countdown for a DRIVERS LICENSE.

Goodbye Freshmen. I feel like we just met and your already leaving.

Emily’s birthday is coming up next month. Can you feel the FANCY?

We are looking into the ULTIMATE jungle gym climbing as the big gift. Not sure exactly how it’s going to work. I just realized the kit did not include lumber. It may be a bit much to construct.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Emily has Field Day. Cole has a big party. Aiden and I are going to start some sort of project with flowers. I’m kind of excited. 

I think I’m in a rut.

Sometimes it’s not till I’m knee deep in the rut that realize it.

My grandmother  turns 80 today.

Up until a few years ago she drove a bright yellow Cadillac. Nickname for this vehicle was required, and it immediately became the “NANA BANANA”

Date night

Happy Saturday Night!

It’s Date night here in the homestead.

This week it means me half working/half watching a movie with my sweetie. Working on day 2ish of a lingering headache. I’m self medicating with ice tea & vodka cocktail, I figure it can’t hurt.

The basement is 80% complete, we need to put it back together. The carpet came out really nice, it wasn’t the color we chose, but honestly I like it better. We are in dire need of a good toy purging and as soon as it’s done, the basement will be da bomb.. as the kids say.

Nothing to report on the “get Michelle’s ASS moving” front. Home Improvement took over our lives and my headache has sucked the will to live from my body. Tomorrow is Nana’s birthday dinner and my goal is to do at least an hour of excercise before we go.

Friday Night Headache

So much for date night.

It’s one of those headache’s that do not let up.

Just achy in the back of my head all freaking day.

Carpet is installed. Looks beautiful. Fresh and clean.

Supa Busy Thursday

It’s been a long day.

Carpet has been selected and installation will take place tomorrow. There was much drama followed by satisfaction with our purchase.

We attended a wake tonight. It was sad seeing children that will now grow up without a father. It’s hard not think of how it could be you in that position. Your children and your husband.

My babies are currently up WAY past their bedtime because I was so sappy and I love the extra snuggle time when they know they should be in bed, and are willing to sit quietly and let you hug and squeeze them as much as you want.

This old house

Emily drew this picture of our house a few weeks ago. When questioned about the two lumps at the bottom, she quickly pointed out that it was us. HER PAWENTS!

We had a plumbing issue a few weeks ago and are now in the process of replacing the carpet in the basement. Tomorrow we hope to have 2 different quotes to compare. Kind of a pain in the ass.

On a roll with the home improvement. The living room color didn’t come out as planned, so it’s back to the drawing board. Today I moved the furniture around in the dining room. It feels like a new room. Sometimes it’s the little things.

Finishing the borders in the kitchen and dining room, picking out color for living room and the hallway.

Then I’m taking the rest of the summer off.

Home improvement is exhausting.

OMIGOD : DAY 8

So. I’m loving Edy’s 1/2 Fat Peanut Butter Ice Cream.  It’s 140 Calories for 1/2 cup.

So. I made a deal with myself.

If there will be evening ice-cream, then there will be an extra mile on the treadmill.

So. Tonight there was an extra mile on the treadmill.

This morning I ran/walked for 1.5 miles, with my 2 minutes running then 2 minutes walking. Then did level one of the 30 Day Shred. 

I’m so freaking tired.
