Send Help.. or Chocolate

For the last week and 1/2  there has been at least one member of my family who was ill.

I was more than a little thrilled that I had managed to excape this strain of the plauge and not infected by my feverish little charges. I was so excited, that I may have mentioned a few hundred times to all who would listen, how GREAT I felt and how LUCKY I was to not be sick.

No fear, "Karma" heard me boasting to the universe about my luck and/or superhuman antibodies because it's biting me in the arse we speak. Not only is my head going to FREAKIN explode from the sinus pressure, but I am about to embark on my 48 hour solo parenting gig as Dan is off to work. 

If you would like to help. Please send food or wine. Or I can send you 2 small children. I need the 3rd one, she is older and therefore able to open the wine bottle.

At this moment there are 14: 14 year olds in my basement, they are cheerleaders and in the 8th grade. I'm sure there will be no drama.. RIGHT.. If everyone makes it alive till morning, I'll be shocked.

I'm going to try and sleep. At least till the first wave of crying starts. Maybe they will be busy texting each other and won't gang up on anyone till later.

Lets talk about ME.

Let us all remember this day as the day Michelle thought she was out of a job,but then learned that she wasn't.

Let us all remember that Michelle thinks EVERYTHING is about her, because she is a freaking moron.

There is much to write about.

Illness, broken bones, brushes with unemployment..

But I exhausted myself with needless worry, so I'm off to bed.

Walking Princess P-monia

Emily is sick.

Last week she seemed worse. I thought she was getting better.

I was MISTAKEN.

She has fluid backed up in her ears and walking pneumonia.

Poor Baby.. It's back to the couch we go.

Mista Pwesident B'o'Bama

Things I don't want to forget:

Today Aiden and I watched the inauguration together, wrapped in Purple Blanket with Sadie laying on top of us.

He kept me amused by saying Pwesitent. Mista Pwesident. Mista Pwesident B'o'Bama : over and over.

Aiden said that he thought the president had on his grumpy face. ?

I could eat that boy for lunch.

Kung Fu Fighting..

The Super Friends have been FIGHTING a bug, flu, virus or whatever. Nobody in my home has slept for more than 4 hours in a row since Thursday.

I hope to get A LOT of sleep tonight.

Happy New Year.. version 2.0

This year my New Year's Resolutions were shockingly similar to last years : eat right, lose weight, solve the world hunger problem and of course UPDATE this site more often.

Well, let's just say that 2 weeks into 2009 and I'm already looking for a "Do Over" on all resolutions.

So I'm going to pretend today is the 1st ish.. and be more diligent about keeping this site current. We have no less than 100 dorky moments a day in this house and it's my "job" to remember as many of them as I can.

This is Dan and I on our way to the Cousin's Christmas Party at Auntie M's .

I went through all 8 billion pictures for 2008 and only found one of Dan and I and maybe 4 of me by myself. So since I would like to be part of the story and not just the storyteller, I am making a conscious effort to let my picture be taken more often. I would like to remember what I looked like at this stage of my life, (which is totally smoking hot, right?) and someday when my babies look back at all the pictures they will get all sappy an remember when Mommy had all her own hair.

THINGS I DON'T WANT TO FORGET :

Nicole did my make-up that day, I tried to use liquid eye liner but gave up. She gave it a try and it came out great. I can't get that look on my own. ?

I was going to get a Bath and Body Works Gift card for $30.00 as my Yankee Swap gift. Instead I picked out all the things that I wanted and picked that.. Since NO ONE with a higher number wanted my stuff, I got to keep it!
