Things to remember..... Told Aiden to get the ball today... And he did. I have a sneaky suspicion that he understands a lot more than he's letting on.. Told him NO for the first time. What he does is he gently strokes the side of your face with his left hand and then bashes you closed fisted with his right.. Emily re-enacted her big "getting sick" night - this was so we would all understand exactly where she got sick, and the noises she made.. She made sure with all her sound effects and facial features that you grasped every detail of her sickness. Nicole a.k.a. "Nurse Betty " helped Christopher through his "sick" night. She cleaned up the mess and stayed with him till his Mom came.. Very impressed with her, Not sure I could have been that helpful! Dan won his basketball game.. They are in the finals! He was also drafted to play in a bowling league for a few weeks.. Emily goes with him as a good luck charm.. & so I can get some work done. :) Only one more week till Danielle, Casey and I head for Aruba! The diet is going well.. Still about 15 pounds to go..

There is no denying it.. Aiden is walking. THERE.. it's documented forever.. For the rest of his life people will ask him or me.. "How old was he when he started to walk?" and I will have say 9-10 months old. We had his doctor's appt.last week. He's up to 22 pounds and is 29 inches long. He's in the 70% for weight and 57% for Height.. This is very different for me. Both my "petite" baby girls remained in the 90% for both height and weight till they were 2 years old. I know that a lot has to do with his being SO Mobile, he burns more calories a day then me and I go to the gym!

I'm not going to call it officially walking.. But Aiden will take 2 or 3 steps and either plop himself down on his behind or try and run which just plops him down on his face.

Did you ever notice that as you watch everyone around you get older, you still feel the same age? I swear I'm still 22.. We celebrated Kurtis and Christopher's birthday this weekend.. Nana and Sherri and Mark Shannon and Madison came and helped blow out some candles. Kurt is 15 years old. What? Yes, 15. He is a freshman in high school and will be attending Drivers Ed. this summer.. I remember his first day of kindergarten. Christopher will be 12 on March 1st. He is taller than Danielle, (isn't everyone?) has his own sense of fashion, and is VERY conscious of his hair do.. (the little girl that Casey never had) Gone is the little boy that thought he would someday be as strong as Hercules or that Papa really did fight the Indians in the backyard. Emily has added a few new words to her vocabulary, Pink is no longer HANH ( you know, the sound a pig makes.. Come on people, keep up!) She still calls Aiden "B". But when she wants him to come play with her she yells BABY and pats her leg.. yes, like you would call the dog. Green is still INE(?) Red is still DER and she still calls me Mao. We have a meeting with Sarah and Jen today.. they are Emily's Speech "TEAM".. Hmm.. can't be good when they have to call in reinforcements. Potty training is going well. Understanding that it is a process is one of the hardest things for the MAMA to learn. We set the timer for 15 min. and head to the potty. every 15 min.. All Day.. We haven't had a lot of accidents, but I have come to HATE the color of my bathroom. Aiden.. I do not know where to begin. He's up to about 6 steps before he starts to do the HIPPY HIPPY Shake.. This causes him to laugh at himself which causes him to wipe out.. He uses his mouth as a third hand, and has no problems walking to you with a sock or toy hanging from his mouth. It cracks us all up. His head is a magnet for hard objects. At the time of this entry he has no less than 5 fresh bruises/cuts on his head. I wish he would stick with crawling until he's got the whole walking thing MASTERED. He eats just about everything we eat, we have a Dr's appt this week and I'll be able update a true height and weight. My arm is guessing he's about 50 pounds, but I'm sure it's more like 25ish. He's almost a year old. Where did my baby go? Nicole's doing great in school, she got a NICE report card. She has had a bad cold for about a week, just all croupy and congested. She's back to practicing with her guitar, which I don't mind at all.. The AMP she hooks it up to I'm wishing bad thought's at. Emily and Aiden love when she plays.. They will willingly sit and be her attentive audience while she jams away the first 15 chords of Sweet Home Alabama, over and over. Last but not least.. A few weeks ago my very wealthy and well connected older sister Danielle decided to take a cruise... This decision works out VERY well for Casey and I, because Danielle hates to go alone. So we ALL fly out of Manchester in March to Puerto Rico for a Royal Caribbean Cruise ship headed for Aruba!!! The other REALLY great news is that my new years diet resolution has been working pretty good. I'm down 14 pounds. Only about 20 more to go..
