What day is it?

Saturday night after trick or treat I sat down on the couch to watch a movie.

It feels like I have not moved since then.

Emily woke up that night with a fever and "the sick" moved into my house like a bad party crasher. A fever for 2 days then it was gone. She was fever free this morning and we thought she would go to school tomorrow.

O. I'm sorry. Did I just make plans? out loud?

Because the SECOND I said she was fever free, she spiked to 101.00. And no I do not appreciate the irony.

Aiden woke me at 5:00 to tell me he was cold. Well, that was not possible, since he was ON FIRE with a fever. At 8:30ish we gave him some more Tylenol and he promptly hurled the entire contents of his stomach. For most of the day he ate and drank nothing. FINALLY tonight he kept down a sandwich and a dose of medicine.

We leave for Florida on Saturday. I'm hoping we are DONE being sick by then. Don't want to make Mickey sick.

Sick Day

Emily is sick.

She's not THE SICK.(there is no OINKING going on).

But she has a cold that is keeping her temp at 100.1 / 99.5. She has to be at 98.7 for 24 hours before she returns to school. So tomorrow she will be home too.

Aiden Emily and I did NOTHING today. We did a LOT OF NOTHING.

Normal days are in and out of the car, errands, school and maybe soccer. We move a lot. Today was nice. We watched 2 movies and ate bad Halloween Candy all day.  I taught my son to repeat lines from the movie Princess Bride. I don't think I can express how proud I was when he raised his little eyebrows and told me to "prepare to die".. Emily and I think he is the funniest thing in the whole world. We called him "farm boy" for the rest of the day.

Day 2 of November will be remembered as a SICK Day and it would be boring to do it every day, but today was fun.

November 2009

It is National Blog Posting Month.

I will do my best, I know I can do it. I made it thru August.

I can do it again. At least till we leave for Florida.

We leave in 6 days for 10 days at Mouse Headquarters.

We lost our window for Swine flu. If anyone gets it now, it would take a miracle to recover before we leave.

Emily is currently holding steady with a 101.00 temp and I'm hoping it's just a cold. Not the flu.

Last night was trick or treating in our town and like we have for the last 5 years, we packed the kids up and took them to a real neighborhood.

Emily loves it, she skips from house to house like a princess/Cheer girl/dancer on a mission. She is in it for the NUMBERS.

Aiden: I fear that he will never know the joys of TRICK or Treat. He does not like to walk. He whined the entire time and wanted to ride in the wagon after the FIRST house. We were all tempted to just buy him a bag of candy and call it a day.

Nicole. For the first time in 14 years she wasn't there with me for Halloween. She has FRIENDS.. Whatever. Grow up, get a life.. I will MAKE YOU FEEL GUILTY!

My darling nephew Christopher posed for pictures with the kids. His costume confused poor Aiden very much.

Friday Flashback : Halloween Edition.

Aiden 2005 Pumpkin.., originally uploaded by Michelle.Dan.

I miss this little pumpkin baby so much.

He was so little and cute and I'd wrap him in the sling and he would be my best friend all day. He was my biggest fan.

Ahh. Remember When.

Tomorrow is the "real" trick or treat extravaganza.
I shall post updated pictures of our favorite pumpkin.

Happy Halloween

May all your candy magically be fat free..

The Daddy circa 2006

How's this for Friday Flashback?

My sweetie, looking all handsome and hard working.

He had just finished mowing the lawn, a job that I, as one of the many princesses of this house, have never had to do.

Turn that frown, UPSIDE DOWN

Turn that frown, UPSIDE DOWN, originally uploaded by Michelle.Dan.

I love that FAKE frown..
It's not real, she was pretending. She is so adorable lately and I keep forgetting to write down some of the REALLY cute things she says.
She scored a goal at soccer tonight, her second one in 2 games. She calls it a GOOOOOLLLLLL D.

Just cracks me up..

I had to do the Shred twice to make up for some lost days. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
I lived. I wasn't as peppy the second time around, but I got in a good sweat. Weigh in is on Tuesday. I hope it pays off.

Fall

Bad news on the Weight Watchers front..

I'm up .4th of a pound.

But honestly, I deserve it.

One can eat only so many cider donuts and dinner rolls before it starts to show on the scale.

I was counting points.. Just not every day.

It caught up with me and has given me the kick I need to be more careful.

I already did the Shred today, did my first run/walk for 1.5 miles yesterday and bought all my groceries for the week.

Now for some BEAUTIFUL fall pictures..

I found this cute stamp frame online and I thought it was cute.

Right as the sun starts to set the colors on the trees look like they were colored with markers..

October 1st.. ish.

September was a wash.

I started out on a roll.. Then I hurt myself.. Then got sick.. Then it was almost the end of the month.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Whatever.. I'm back. For the most part.

Lots to report.

Since October first I am back to doing the Shred every day and have lost 4 pounds on Weigh Watchers.

Fair season is almost over THANK GOD, if you have never tried a CIDER DONUT, then don't.

Your thighs will thank you.

Children are all doing well.

School is no longer new and exciting but I think they all would prefer going to school rather than staring at me for 8 hours a day.

Besides our new schedule of School, Soccer and Cheerleading , we have had a lot going on.

First:

Dan's Cousin Sharon and her husband Greg came to visit from California. Company? From out of state? That sounds like a reason to bake APPLE DUMPLINGS. A nd cake. And brownies. And cookies.

Aiden attended the annual PRE-SCHOOL Nature Walk and picked his Mama a pretty flower..

Papa took us all to the CIRCUS!

On Friday we went to the Deerfield Fair. With 300,000 of our closest friends. IT WAS PACKED. Aiden and Emily went on ALL the rides and because she is SUCH A GOOD SISTER, Coley rode with them for safety. The picture below of that slide, shows Nicole going down with Aiden, Emily is right behind her, SCARED TO DEATH. They all made it down, but Emily was MAD. Somehow we managed to not get pictures of Casey and Danielle who were also there with us.
