What on EARTH could they be talking bout?

PICTURE OF THE WEEK.

Couldn't figure out a caption for this one. No clue what they could be talking about.

She is 15. He is 4.

I like to think they are discussing the importance of hand and face cleanliness at dinner?

Most likely he growled at her, this is his preferred way of communicating, and she in turn is maybe baring her teeth or flaring nostrils to let him know that Yes, I heard you, and No, I will not do as you say, also I AM BIGGER than you and will eat you for dessert.

Or they are just seeing who can make a funnier face?

Happy Birthday Husband O’ Mine..

How my sweetie spent his birthday: 2010

We made a pact to complete the interior projects we started a LONG time ago before we would attempt to tackle the outside MUST NEEDED projects.

Painting the dining area and living room ceilings was the  first step in changing the color and feel of both rooms. We have been talking about it since we bought this house three years ago.

SOMEDAY, we would do it. SOMEDAY, we would make the time.  Today was SOMEDAY.

After 3 years, it only took us 3 hours.

WE ROCK AT HOME IMPROVEMENT.

Happy Birthday Babe.

I love you.

PS. Since you are older than me for the next 2 months, I shall refer to you as my SUGAR DADDY.

Friday FlashBack..

Flashback to age 1.

This little boy was teething, his baby teeth came in all at the same time.

He lost his first tooth 2 weeks ago. He is almost 5, which MAKES HIM FOUR.  Children should not be allowed it lose teeth at this age. He’s still a baby.  My last baby, is losing his baby teeth.

The thing is, his big kid tooth was already there, had been there for a few weeks. I think it was giving me time to get used to the idea that he was going to lose the tooth, even if “I” wasn’t ready.

He only got use that baby tooth for 4 years?

He didn’t even have a space when it fell out.

Well, I guess that’s that.

ps*I’m still calling him my baby, I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU PEOPLE SAY..

They finally got me..

For the last month sickness has taken over my home. My children collected fevers, viruses and colds.

I have been praising my immune system for fending off all attacks and keeping me healthy.

Today was the first day in 5 months the temp hit over 50 degrees. But I didn't get to enjoy it.

I have a cold. A head cold. A face cold. My face is filled with sinus pressure and lost sneezes.

I am a sight to behold.

Behold.

Cole and Aiden are taking care of me.

This includes laying on my hair and elbowing me in the chest.

I know, what else do I need.

In honor of my youngest nephew turning 16 next week, we are GOING RETRO.

Also because of the 33 Billion pictures I have scanned in to make him his own movie I’m pretty sappy for those little babies are all big kids now.

First UP. Retro Coley:

My beautiful oldest child did not like to smile pretty for the camera when she was little.

Finding this picture was such a gift. 700_0002

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.. (Belated)

Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year.

On December 18th I posted for Nicole, then Hey! Took a month off? Whatever. Christmas was fun. Everyone got what they wanted. We had a PIONEER WOMEN christmas eve with Apple Dumplings and Bread Pudding. New Years was another dessert fest, next year we may just record the ball dropping. I'm getting old. Fast forward to Christmas Party with all 85 of my cousins... ANNNNND we are all caught up!

Look at that. One month.. One Paragraph.

Here are some pretty pictures from our Holiday Extravaganza:

 The Cousins 3.

They are the big kids. At one time there were 5. Now there are 3. Everyone grows up.

BLAH BLAH BLAH. I don't want to hear it. I KNOW.

My handsome nephew came home from the Navy for Christmas.

We hadn't seen him since July when he left for Boot Camp. He's so different - yet exactly the same.

Good Bye Salior. : Kurt poses with the "babies" before he heads back to South Carolina.

My new favorite picture of Nicole and Emily taken with Casey's new Canon : this is SOC. No editing. It could use a little crop, and maybe some softening. But it's taking me forever to edit and post. So here it is.

I'm going to refrain from discussing any New Years Resolutions: But for the record.

In the 2 months I took off from Weight Watchers: I ONLY GAINED 2 POUNDS.

One Time, 15 years ago, I had me a BABY.

This morning you asked me to describe the day you were born.

It's your birthday so I try and accommodate your requests..

I don't like to admit this, but I'M GETTING OLD.

I don't recall ALL the details from 15 years ago but I do remember the good parts.

Tonight I will post what I do remember and hopefully if we pick a few brains of the people who were there, maybe they can fill in the blanks..

  • Let's use Bullet points, because they are more fun.
  • I was 21 years old when you were born. You are not allowed to have children till 30. BECAUSE I SAID SO.
  • Your due date was Dec. 15th and we knew you were a girl, and named you Nicole Kathleen.
  • I worked at U-Haul Company till the week you were born. You would kick to the sound of the phone.
  • I fell off the loading dock @ 30 weeks pregnant. Auntie Casey FREAKED OUT. You were fine.
  • On December 15th, I waited. Shannon was there and we walked all over the parking lot. False Labor.
  • December 16th. I was MAD. You are LATE. And I was BIG. Went to the Mall with Casey. WALKED ALL OVER.
  • December 17th, watching The Stand movie by Stephen King. Minding my own business, then OUCH.
  • Water Broke. Contractions started.. then didn't stop. 0-2ish minutes apart. We were doing it wrong.
  • At hospital. NOT loving the pain. You were in trouble, heart rate going down with contractions.
  • STOP LABOR. Proceed to Plan B. Emergency C-Section. But first. Tributeline. This drug stops contractions.
  • AND MAKES YOU SHAKE. Shake for an hour till everyone gets in place.
  • Big operation takes place: FINALLY your out.
  • You take your sweet time and scare everyone but finally YOU CRY.
  • Then I cry. Your Dad cries.
  • You are taken to the NICU for the next 10ish hours to learn how to breathe.
  • Finally, I take a big tantrum and make them bring you to me.
  • You are squishy. For a newborn, your freaking adorable.

One of the main reasons we started this website was my compulsion to record our history so we could look back one day and remember.

15 Years Old.

The day you were born, I could not fathom this day.

I'm having so much fun, I don't want you to get any older. Deal?
