Emily Update... As most of you know Emily has been seeing a speech therapist for about a year due to her speech delay. She is making great progress, but she's not anywhere near the level of speech as children her age. She will start preschool in the fall where she will receive speech therapy from the school system and we located a therapist in our area so she could get some extra help.. She has about 25 words that she says on her own that someone outside of Cole, Dan or myself could understand. We are a HUGE fan of the Signing Times Collection and have introduced signing to most of the family.. We have pretty much mastered most animal signs, manners and are working on the ABC signs.. Because she's so freaking funny and her speech is kinda out there, I want to make sure I remember how hard we are all trying and how comical she comes across.. So someday when she's 15, I can look back and remember when it was REALLY important that she please just say anything.. The history of Mommy.. In the last few weeks she has very clearly started to call me MOMMY.. -For about 6 Months she called me "No Daddy" -Then her sign for me was pushing her thumb on her nose. -Then I was MAOU for quite a while.. Then recently out of nowhere she just started saying Mommy.. At first it sounded like a balloon with a hole in it, very high pitched and squeaky. But now it's quite clear and forceful. However, With every action there is a reaction.. My name is now used as a period or question mark to every word. Out,Mommy? Up Mommy? Aiden smells Mommy! I love my boots Mommy. I'm a girl Mommy. Whenever I cringe at the 500th or so use of my name I start to do a crazy little laugh, because not only has Emily started saying Mommy, Aiden has been saying MA

Check out Emily's big "boo".. Accident occurred last Wed night @ our neighborhood Chuck E. Cheese. The excitement of seeing THE Chuck E. Cheese PHONE was a little too much for her, while running for the toy she tripped & hit it right on the edge with her forehead. That thing swelled at least 2 inches off her head..

One more note for the day.. Anyone who noticed that my darling daughter Nicole signed the guest book and is wondering to themselves "Does the poor girl know how to spell"? "Is she getting a good education? The answer is yes, but apparently all of the kids in her wicked cool 5th grade class type in all caps and it is less keystrokes to type WUT than what. The scary part of this story, She had asked me if I could leave the room while she signed the guestbook, I came back in as she was finishing up and reminded her to not type in all caps, it's just laziness I said.. FINE she said.. (in that tone).. BUT she never went back and retyped the message that was in all caps.. She just finished typing it the correct way.

It's a big Kleenex and Sudafed Party here.. Aiden had his big party last Sunday! He has a Spiderman Sippy Cup that he's in love with, so we chose a Spiderman Theme.. He got tons of toys and clothes.. Thank you everyone for all the great stuff.. Emily would like to send out her own Thank You. SHE loves HIS new stuff~ Big News on the Aiden Front: His 1 Year Appt was this week.. He's 30 Inches long and 24.5 pounds. He got all his shots and for the first time had blood taken from his arm. It was harder on the MAMA than on him... The Dr. checked out his mouth and he's got these RANDOM molars coming in. One is on the upper right side in the middle and the other is on the lower left side in the front. Usally molars don't come in for a few more months and they usally mirror each other on each side of the mouth.. Aiden loves to be different.. On a very sad note, my little baby is no longer taking a bottle. His last bottle was last week. (Not sorry to say good bye to the $25.00 can of formula). 98% of all bottles were with me cuddled in the rocking chair.. (gotta give The Daddy the other 2%) It is a well known fact that I LOVE to rock my babies. I have been working on Aiden since birth to turn him into my little Mama's boy, we rock and cuddle all the time in that chair. Since I'm about 99% sure that he's the last baby, I might need to borrow one..

I am currently filming the sequel to the movie White Man Can't Jump. Think we are gonna call it "White Baby Can't Jump,(But does not know it)" He gets the basketball, sticks his behind out, bends his knees and flings his upper body in the air while taking his shot.. Followed up with squeals, grunts and some big ole belly laughs because he's so pleased with himself and his performance. HIS FEET DO NOT LEAVE THE GROUND... But he thinks they did.. Going to have to sit him down and explain the dynamics of ACTUAL jumping..
